My Favorite Photoshoot Locations in the Bay

Hello! Thank you for all of the words of advice, messages, and comments that you all have been sending me about my last post, I really appreciate it!

Here is a topic that is a little more fun than job searching, PHOTOSHOOTS! When planning a shoot, finding a location is usually the hardest part for me. It has to go with the outfit and the vibe that I am looking for. However, over the years I have been to a few places that I loved and below I have compiled a few of my favorite Photoshoot Locations around the Bay, enjoy!

1) San Jose State - San Jose, CA

This was one of my more recent finds, and after shooting here I was shocked as to why I haven't seen more Instagram photos here! The school is so beautiful with the building shown above at the center of campus which almost looks like a castle tower. I also shot at the top of one of their parking lots, and the view and the colors were beautiful! The street right across (where the Philz Coffee is located) campus also has beautiful lighting and is an amazing location for almost any kind of outfit.

2) Santana Row - San Jose, CA

Santana Row has a plethora of store fronts and walls that are EXTREMELY photo-friendly! The picture above is from the Free People Wall. If you just walk a couple streets down from the Free People Wall, there is a multi-colored wall that I call, the Rainbow wall! Here is a picture I have from that wall below:

3) Niles Town Plaza - Fremont, CA

Niles is the CUTEST photoshoot place, especially during the Christmas time! Niles is this kind of hidden place in Fremont, and the town plaza is a beautiful place to shoot! The train pictured above is just a little to the side of the Niles Town Plaza and I absolutely love the dark red color for pictures! It ads personality, and a uniqueness to the picture. There are plenty of places around the train and on the sidewalks (near the cute shops) that you could shoot at as well!

4) Ruby Hill - Pleasanton, CA

Ruby Hill is one of those places in Pleasanton that is so big and beautiful that you can probably go through 3-4 outfits shooting here and each outfit has the ability to have a different vibe - Basically its super versatile. The only drawback to this location, however, is that the Ruby Hill community is gated and to get in you have to either live there or know someone that does. If not, however, there is also the Ruby Hill Winery and Concannon Winery nearby and those are beautiful public places that anyone can shoot at!

5) Baker Beach, San Francisco

This is by far the most gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge I have ever seen! You can pretty much shoot anywhere on the beach and you get that view. There are usually a lot of people shooting here on weekends, but the beach is big enough that you will have enough space to get good shots in without people in the back of them. Definitely recommend for guaranteed gorgeous shots!

6) Val Vista Park

This park is hidden away in Pleasanton, and if you want beautiful, outdoorsy vibe to your pictures I definitely recommend shooting here! It is best during golden hour, when the sun is about to set; that is when the light is just the right amount and you see it peaking through all of the tall grass.  This park is also huge, so I would definitely recommend walking around and exploring the area. You never know which little corner can look amazing on camera!

If you try out any of these locations, let me know how you liked them and be sure to share your pictures with me, I would love to see! Have a happy week everyone!
